reminds me of Pink Flyod’s “We don’t need no education” music video, with the childrens faced being processed, robbed of individuality, and to show the ugly part of what life can be if people don’t consistently put an effort into keeping an easily forgettable standard of life. “Freedom isn’t free”, but pleasures are easily numbed out by our endless pursuits for improvement. We easily forget from where we as a society emerged from, from generation to generation. We can easily forget to not take things for granted, be washed away by our cultures most sophisticated art: advertising, propaganda, and manipulation of ideology via western luxuries. I think this picture is important because it gives fear, fear from how others find the need to keep us in fear using the simplest of modifications, like the one done to police in this picture (if that is a police man or some sort of security or obedience maintainers).
